ICON is a conference organized by students for students. Because of that, it operates based on a team of student volunteers who want to actively participate in academia, tackle new challenges, and make an important contribution to the acknowledgment of student research in the academic world and beyond.

Why join us?
There are many reasons to join ICON. Some of the most notable are:
- gain practical experience in a group of international students
- implement your own ideas
- realize an international scientific conference
- improve skills in, e.g., academic English, intercultural communication, design, project management, PR, and editorial work
- earn ECTS points and build your CV
Since we strive for inclusiveness and interdisciplinarity, it does not matter what you study, what your background is, how much experience you have or whether you are in your first semester or your last. We believe that everyone can contribute to the mission of ICON.
Exchange students and students from other universities are also always welcome!
How are we organized?
Within our team we are currently organized in the following subgroups:
- Administration Team
- Advertisement Team
- Design Team
- Editorial Team
All teams are, again, split into smaller work groups to create an efficient workflow. All bigger decisions and tasks – for example choosing the topic of the conferences and reviewing the abstract submissions – are, however, handled by the whole team, which shares the responsibility and makes sure that all of our voices are being heard.
